El Bulli 1846, Water Experience

Ferran Adrià aims to transform El Bulli into a creative hub for future-focused talent across disciplines. We propose a series of innovative concepts for all water-related spaces—bathrooms and changing rooms—inspired by the Mediterranean Sea and art. These spaces incorporate sustainable, passive systems that use water in innovative ways, combining functionality with environmental responsibility. Construction solutions are based on natural, locally rooted elements—often from the sea and even commonly eaten—linking architecture with the region’s landscape and culinary identity. Above all, the proposals are designed to create a rich sensory experience that engages all the visitor’s senses, like a playful, immersive journey—almost like a game for children.
